How can being part of a church help me in my faith journey?

A church is made up of a group of people who know their need of God—and come together to share life in Christ through hearing God’s Word and sharing in the Communion in which we believe that Jesus Christ really is present (though we don’t know exactly how).  So you can meet people who are just like you—except that they are a little ahead on the journey into life in Christ. We say (and I include myself in this claim), we all are sinners, yet made right with God in what Jesus did for all people in all time on the Cross.

The local church—including us at St. Peter’s—are not a social club or a secret society. We are a community that has room for you wherever you are in your search for God. We are here to pray, serve, and share Christ in our community and in the wider world.
