What should I do next in my search?

There are three things you can do right away.

First, admit that you cannot find true peace and hope and purpose in life without accepting your need of God. You can share that with me or with others who are on that journey and who have found that peace which passes all understanding.

Second, come to church. We’d love to see you at St. Peter’s Church in our times of worship. Listen to God’s Word as I seek to preach it in practical, real terms that you can apply to your life. Or email me or call the church, and we can set up some time to talk—with me, or with a member of our congregation who can meet you where you are in life and help you go where God is calling you to go.

Finally—and most important—join with me right now to ask Jesus Christ into your life and to claim him as your Lord and Savior.

O God, I have been seeking and longing to find You. And I am ready to accept that You are with me, right here and right now. You have sent Jesus Christ into this world to bring all people back to you—and to save me from myself and my sin. I now turn my heart, my mind, and my will to Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, and put my trust in him. Lead me to a community of faith where people can welcome me and support me as I begin to live into the new life I have in You, now and forever. Amen.

I am with you, my new friend. Thanks be to God for your new life! When I was so very lost in my own life, and I prayed this prayer, my life turned around and found peace and joy. When I stopped staring into Hell and started looking into the face of Christ, I began to live a life of miracles. May that be true for you!
