Welcome
We are so happy that you are looking into our community. St. Peter's is a congregation full of people from many different life backgrounds and at various stages of their faith journeys. Wherever you are on your journey and whatever your Church background is, you are welcome here. We invite you to come and worship with us on Sunday mornings at 9:00am. After the service, we have coffee hour and fellowship time together downstairs.
What to Expect on Sunday Morning
Worship
Our main worship each week is on Sunday mornings at 9:00am. We refer to this service by multiple names: The Holy Eucharist, Mass, or Worship. The service includes hymns, Scripture readings from the Old Testament and New Testament, a sermon connecting the readings to our everyday experience of modern life, and Communion. At various points during the service, there is kneeling, standing, sitting, and making the sign of the cross. We print most of these directions in the bulletin so that everyone can follow along. It can take a few times to get the hang of all the liturgical movements and gestures, so please do not worry if you miss anything on your first few visits and feel free to ask questions. You can refer to our "Worship and Sacraments" page for further information about this service.
Location
Our church is located at 104 Elm Street in Sheboygan Falls, WI. On Sunday mornings, you may enter through either the door on Elm Street or the door on Broadway Street.

Communion
All baptized Christians are welcome to receive Communion regardless of where you were baptized or what denominational background you come from. During Communion, you will come forward and kneel or stand at the altar rail. Extend your hands forward and the priest will place the consecrated host in your hands. A server will then come by with the chalice of consecrated wine. Please reach out and gently help the server guide the chalice to your mouth. You are welcome to receive Communion in one kind (just the bread or just the wine) if you prefer. Our tradition has always held that Communion in one kind is a full Communion of the Body and Blood of Christ. If you are unable to come forward for Communion, our priest and servers will come out to you in the pews after serving at the altar rail.
If you do not wish to receive Communion for any reason, you are still welcome to come forward to the altar. Please cross your arms over your chest to indicate that you will not be receiving, and the priest will offer a blessing for you instead. If you are interested in being baptized or discussing receiving Communion, please reach out to Fr. Jonah, and he will be happy to talk through options with you.

What to Wear
You will find that there is a mix of dress on Sunday mornings. Some folks choose to dress more formally for worship, and others come in more casual clothing. You are welcome to wear whatever feels most comfortable and appropriate to you.
